Clay City High School Sarah M. Tobias, a top scholar in the class of 2010 at Clay City High School, will receive the Alexander M. Fulk Memorial Scholarship this year.

Tobias, the daughter of Ruth A. Tobias, will attend the University of Southern Indiana in the fall and plans to major in communications studies in the college of liberal arts.

The Fulk Scholarship was established by Mr. and Mrs. Michael Fulk in honor of their son, Alexander "Alex" Michael Fulk, who died in July 2008, following a motorcycle accident.

Fulk graduated from Clay City High School and had just finished his sophomore year at USI where he was studying industrial supervision.

Previous Fulk Memorial Scholarship recipients include Samantha Sutherlin and Lindsey C. Nichols, both Northview High School graduates.

The scholarship is for students from Clay County, the home county of the Fulk family.

Contributions to the scholarship may be made to the USI Foundation at www.usi.edu.
