Two injured in accident

Tuesday, May 25, 2010

One person was transported to an Indianapolis hospital following an accident Monday evening.

According to a report provided by Indiana State Police, Joshua A. Dalton, 21, Brazil, was driving a 2003 Nissan westbound on County Road 1200 North, west of Murphy Avenue, when the vehicle slid off on the south side of the road.

The report stated Dalton overcorrected, causing the vehicle to go off the north side of the road and hitting a utility pole.

The vehicle then continued west, coming to a rest facing south on the road.

Dalton was transported to St. Vincent Clay Hospital complaining of head and spine injuries while the passenger, Kyle W. McCoy, 20, Brazil, had to be transported by Air Evac to Wishard Hospital, Indianapolis, complaining of head trauma, broken ribs and a possible punctured lung.

According to reports, ISP Trooper Jim Cruse cited Dalton for driving too fast to avoid a collision.

Nobody stops at any stop signs on the Rio Grande! I do wish the police force would patrol this area more. But that is beside the point. Kyle, our prayers are with you for a full and speedy recovery.

People don't even stop in the middle of town at 4 ways, or stop lights. Got to squeeze all the yellow they can out of em, I do it too anymore, cause if you don't you're likely to get creamed from some idiot who acts like they thought yellow always meant "floor it ! "

I am just thankful he didn't hit somebody head on if he slid off the south side of the road going west bound!

Now-Now Mr.or Mrs.(attitude says MR.?) FIREMEDIC,

Do you live in Cardonia? If yes OH,Please tell me you saw the whole thing. The 3 front yard say different from the take off of the stop sign.

And for the record Butt Juice(we're even)Not once did I wish any bad feelings to that family. I was that age and went like HELL. And did things that would probable curl your hair.So thats why I and alot of others want to remind people of the stop signs. Now don't you feel good for pickin' on a fat girl that gave a damn? I know NOT! But ya know there goes that opinion thing again,AND I'VE GOT ONE...

Wow FIREMEDIC, lower those caps, no reason to yell. Just out of curiousity, why do most firemen have fire in their user name? I mean, you don't see truckers, garbage men, pilots, musicians, cooks, etc doing that. I mean, when's the last time you saw a waitresswanda or socialworkerwillie??

It just makes me so sad that after all the accidents and deaths of high school students in this community in the past years that the kids still don't think it can happen to them.
