Two more speakers have been added to the Billie Creek Village Civil War Days event, scheduled for June 12-13.
Both Brenda Schingel and Dianne Gossert will speak at the ladies event at Billie Creek.
The two plan on having a Ladies' Etiquette class, a Ladies' tea, and a round table discussion.
The etiquette class will go over some basic dos and don'ts for polite Victorian society. They will teach proper posture by having ladies walk with a plate on their heads. They will also touch on proper clothing for young girls to ladies of different ages.
Lemonade and cookies will also be served during the tea event. Tea time was very popular for Victorian ladies to participate in. This will allow for those who have interest in doing living histories more of a background.
The round table discussion for the re-enactors will discuss the civilian events they would like to see happen at Billie Creek in the future. Items to be discussed will range from Civilian activities, cooking competitions, camp set ups, spectator friendly activities, events on Friday before the start of Saturday and in the evenings.
Schingel has been a Civil War re-enactor for 20 years, while Gossert has been involved for approximately 18 years.
