Clyde "Stan" Stanley Giffel, 63, Brazil, passed away at Seton Specialty Hospital, Indianapolis, May 25, 2010, following a lengthy illness.

He was born Feb. 10, 1947, the son of Clyde Jack and Zelda (Herman) Giffel.

He served his country with the United States Navy on the USS Hawkins. He served three tours in Vietnam, being honorably discharged as a Seaman.

He worked throughout his life as an over the road truck driver with Romas Trucking, as well as several other companies, and a bartender for Roze's Bar.

In his free time he enjoyed playing pool, bowling, playing cards with his friends at the Elks and fishing at Lake of the Ozarks in his younger years.

He was a member of the American Pool Association. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, and a former member of the Eagles, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his fiancÚ Jaquetta "Jaqui" Griffith, children Ray Kimbro and wife Concetta, Virginia, Frank Kimbro and wife Peggy, Oregon, Katrina Kimbro Smith and husband Gregory, Virginia, and Marisha Giffel Stewart and husband Kenneth, Brazil, and 19 grandchildren.

At his request cremation services have been requested. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society, 1811 S. Fruitridge P.O. Box 3307 Terre Haute, Ind. 47803.
