Michael D. McRoberts, 57, Brazil, passed away unexpectedly May 29, 2010, at St. Vincent Clay Hospital.
He was born Jan. 30, 1953, in New Castle, Ind., the son of Claude and Donna (Neeriemer) McRoberts.
He attended Brazil High School. Mike worked for Great Dane Trailers for 31 years. For the last 18 years of that time, as a corrugator operator. Most recently, he had worked for Schneider Trucking and Thatcher Trucking as a driver.
Mike enjoyed riding horses, farming, camping, motorcycle riding and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
With his wife, he coordinated the Bible and Saddle Camp at Camp Moneto, Ind., through the Southern Methodist Conference for the last 10 years.
He was preceded in death by his father Claude McRoberts, brother William McRobrets, stepfather Don Irwin, granddaughter Shyan McRoberts and uncle Ernie Lantz.
He is survived by his wife Debra (Wegner) McRoberts, mother Donna Irwin, New Castle, Ind., brother Jerry McRoberts, New Castle, sons Claude "Mike" McRoberts and wife Jewel, Tennessee, Tim McRoberts and wife Brandy, Brazil, and Nick McRoberts, Brazil, grandchildren Noah, Malachi, Jordan and Eden McRoberts, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Services will be Saturday, June 5, 2010, at 1 p.m., at Union United Methodist Church. Visitation will follow at Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church Saturday, from 10 a.m. until time of services.
