Bridgeton Quilt and Woodworking Show

Friday, June 4, 2010

BRIDGETON -- The seventh Quilt and Woodworking Show will take place Saturday and Sunday, June 12-13.

Hours will be 10 a.m.-5 p.m., both days. A ham and bean dinner with homemade desserts will be available June 12, at Collom's Store.

Those interested may see quilts or possibly purchase family heirlooms in the Bridgeton 1878 Barn. Quilts are hand-stitched and machine-stitched, some new and some old. Live quilting demonstrations will also take place as will voting on favorite quilts.

Members of the International Woodworkers Association will be at work in Collom's General Store as well. Chainsaw artist Dan Collom, along with bowl carvers, pin turners, woodlathes in operation, and other woodworkers will be on hand.

Visit with the artisans, enjoy their work and shop for unique handmade wooden gifts.

Shops will be open throughout the event and food will be available.

Admission is free.

Bridgeton is located in southern Parke County, nine miles south of Rockville.
