Caitlyn Hoffman
Caitlyn Hoffman, 10, granddaughter of Wayne and Jean Cox, formerly of Brazil, was recently honored with an award from the President of the United States.

She was presented with the Presidential Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence.

The award and letter from the president and a pen with the Presidential Seal was presented during an award ceremony where the fifth-grader attended school.

At the ceremony, she was also awarded a certificate for helping the "Special Friends," at Clark's Creek Elementary School in Plainfield for giving part of her recess and free time to help those with special needs.

Caitlyn has several relatives in the Brazil area and has attended the Church of Christ on Franklin Street in Brazil her entire life.
