United Way of Wabash Valley to host agency tour

TERRE HAUTE -- The United Way of the Wabash Valley will host an agency tour visit to three United Way partner agencies Thursday, June 17, from 1-4 p.m.

The tour departs from Clabber Girl Corporation at 1 p.m.

Campaign Cabinet, Board of Directors and Pilot Companies will be touring the agencies to get a first-hand look.

The tour begins with a visit to the Council on Domestic Abuse, which provides a safe, secure place for victims of abuse and provides legal advocacy and support to victims of abuse.

The agency director is Susie Hall, who may be reached at 812-234-3441.

The Boys' and Girls' Club of Terre Haute will be the second agency on the tour.

Its mission is to be a place where boys and girls may participate in a variety of interesting and constructive activities.

The last stop on the tour is United Child Care.

The organization's mission is to provide quality daycare in a healthy, stimulating environment for children ages 3-12, of economically marginal parents.
