President Ruth Ann Jeffries was absent, so Vice President Todd Brackman ran the meeting.
"The pool is open and so is the refreshment stand," Supt. of Parks Bill Houck said. "All major concrete repairs are complete at the pool."
Currently, the slide at the pool is closed and Houck cited some problems with it. The board authorized Houck to fix it.
Houck and Park Department associate Ed Holt have planted 44 of the 50 trees that were donated by Indiana State Representative District 44 Nancy Michael.
There are new stalls being placed in the men's restroom at the Pavilion. The board purchased them from the Clay Community School Corporation. Houck said they hope to have them reopened by July 4.
The Brazil Concert Band season has started, and the board complimented George Kumpf and Connie McClure for all their work.
"There was a nice turnout at the opening concert," Treasurer Linda Messmer said.
Houck updated the board on bench projects progress.
"There are 112 total benches and 10 more are on the way," Houck said.
The next regular meeting of the Brazil City Parks Board will be 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 13, in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
