The Reelsville Volunteer Fire Department will conduct a benefit breakfast Saturday for Nathan Kendall.
The event will take place from 7-11 a.m., at the fire station.
Nathan, 23, is the son of RVFD firefighter David Kendall and was severely burned in an explosion at his home in Reelsville March 31.
Nathan was using a cutting torch to attempt to remove a gas tank from a vehicle when the explosion occurred.
The fireball caused Nathan to receive second- and third-degree burns to his arms and forehead.
He was taken to Wishard Hospital, Indianapolis, where he remained for a week and received skin grafts on his arm and forehead.
Nathan does not have medical insurance. All proceeds from Saturday's event will be used toward his medical expenses.
