Born Oct. 9, 1935, in Clay County, she was the daughter of Arthur Tallman and Beutha (Holland) Tallman.
Edith was a homemaker and has also worked for many years as a nurse's aid at St. Anthony Hospital, and also at Meadows Manor East Nursing Home.
She was a member of the Victory Christian Church.
Her hobbies included camping, playing cards and bowling.
Survivors include children Tom Majors and wife Irma, Wyoming, Don Majors, Brazil, Gary Majors and wife Cathy, California, Stella Walker, Brazil, Mark Majors and wife Jo, Florida, Marian Burns and husband Scott, Brazil, and Dan Majors, Brazil, grandchildren Ryan Pugh, Keith Majors, Jenny Majors, Don Majors Jr., Theresa Majors, Amy Majors, Marcie Majors, Andrew Majors, Katrina Majors, Austin Majors, Paul Majors, Chris Walker, Jeff Walker, Autumn Miller, Shad Majors, Courtney Majors, Baileigh Burns and Alex Majors, five great-grandchildren, brothers Arthur Tallman, Terre Haute, and Fred Jenkins and wife Annette, Terre Haute, sister Katie Basham and husband Jim, Texas, several nieces and nephews, and special friends Chuck and Sharon Smith, Terre Haute.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul Majors, husband Thomas Pugh, sister Sharon Francis and son-in-law Max Walker.
Visitation will take place Tuesday, from 4-8 p.m., at the Roselawn Funeral Home. Services are at 11 a.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Dana Coverstone officiating.
Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Park.
