Thanks to everyone who helped with Vacation Bible School last week. We hope that all the young people who attended learned a great deal and had a lot of fun.

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m., with church service following at 10:30. David Brown is our pastor and his wife Elaine brings the Children's Message. Glenna Simons is the pianist.

Happy birthday to my great-grandson Aaron Aselage on June 19.

Remember that the Community Food Pantry is open in the church's basement from 3-5 p.m., on the last Wednesday afternoon of each month. The next Food Pantry day will be next Wednesday, June 23. Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome.

We truly appreciate the support of Staunton First Christian Church and Staunton Elementary School, as well as other churches, civic organizations and individuals in helping to make this needed outreach a success.

Please keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families. Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals, and those who have lost loved ones.

And pray for a solution to the oil disaster in the Gulf.

Go out of your way to be kind to someone and pray for everyone.
