June Evelyn Trout Mormans passed away in her home Saturday, June 19, 2010.

She was born July 1, 1928, to Clarence and Winifred (Gilliatt) Trout and was a lifelong resident of Staunton.

She married her husband Harry on Sept. 7, 1947. He preceded her in death on June 26, 2008.

She is survived by her sister Martha Bitzegaio, Terre Haute, sisters-in-law Imogene Bush, Terre Haute, and Eileen Laib, Indianapolis. Survivors also include her children Linda Woolley (Steve), Avon, Susan Wells, Sean Mormans and Zachary Mormans, Staunton, as well as grandchildren Adam Woolley, Shannon Simonson, Nicholas Mormans and great-grandsons Isaac and Aiden Woolley. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends from her church, Staunton United Methodist.

She was generous to a fault and frequently put the needs of others ahead of her own. She enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting and spending time with her family. She was politically active and a supporter for many years of the Posey Township Fire Department. She loved children and animals and supported causes that spoke to their needs.

She suffered several illnesses during the past year, but was determined to remain at home and, through the grace of God and help of her family, Dr. Johnson, and her friends, was able to do so.

Cremation is scheduled with burial at Clearview Cemetery, Friday, June 25, 2010, at 10 a.m.

A memorial service and celebration of her life will take place at the Staunton United Methodist Church at a later date. The tentative date for this event is Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010.

Arrangements are being handled by French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave., Brazil.
