Clarence R. Nussel, 101, Ft. Wayne, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 26, surrounded by family.
Born in Brazil, he graduated from Brazil High School in 1926, and moved to Ft. Wayne in 1929.
He graduated as a toolmaker from the Ft. Wayne GE Apprentice School.
In 1973, after 44 years of service, he retired from GE as a purchasing agent.
He was a devoted family man who lived a full, active and healthy life.
He is survived by his daughter Patricia Kirkpatrick (Ron), Fort Wayne, grandchildren Peggy Georgi (David), Cicero, Ind., Lloyd Kirdpatrick (Jennie), South Bend, and Charles Kirkpatrick, Houston, Texas, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Ellen Grace and his second wife of 47 years Hilda J. Wolf, parents George H. and Mary L., and sisters Lucille Rhodes and Rosemary Cobb.
Calling is from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Funeral Home, 420 W. Wayne St., Ft. Wayne, with services at 10 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home. He will be interned in Lindenwood Cemetery.
