Sharon Harmon, 48, Brazil, passed away at home, Friday July 2, 2010, following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Paragon, Ind., May 1, 1962, the daughter of William and Merry (Tharpe) Riddle

Sharon graduated from Harcourt High School. Following high school, she worked for several local businesses.

Sharon spent most of her time with family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, working with crafts listening to music and tending to her flower gardens.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Her father passed away before her.

She is survived by her husband Marion Harmon, two daughters Amber Modesitt and husband Thomas J. and Abbi Matlock, all of Brazil, a son Travis Harmon and wife Megan, Beaufort, S.C., grandchildren Brayden, Cameron, Christopher, and Anna, sister Jeanette Swaim, Brazil, and a brother Albert Richardson Jr., North Dakota, as well as several aunts, uncles, nephews and extended family members.

Graveside services will be at Clearview Cemetery, Brazil, Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at 3 p.m., with Pastor Mark Thompson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association of Indiana, 9410 Priority Way, West Drive, Indianapolis, Ind. 46240.
