Maralynn Rosa, 91, Knightsville, passed away at Cloverleaf Health Care, July 4, 2010, following an extended illness.
She was born Dec. 13, 1918, in Frankfort, Ind., the daughter of Russell C. and Brenetta Jane (Northway) Stoms.
Maralynn graduated from Van Buren High School with the class of 1936. She later graduated from Smart Appearance Beauty College.
Before starting her family, Maralynn owned a beauty shop for several years. She married Joseph R. Rosa Oct. 28, 1945.
She will be remembered as a loving and kind mother, grandmother and G.G. She was a member of the Knightsville United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph R. Rosa, sister Ruth France and sister-in-law Betty Stoms.
She is survived by her son Joseph "Rocky" Rosa and wife Nancy, Greencastle, daughter Christina Zentko Stinson, Brazil, grandsons Jerimiah Rosa, CoCo Beach, Fla., Jim Zentko and wife Cassie, Brazil, great-grandson Dylan Zentko, Brazil, brother Russell M. Stoms, Brazil, and niece Jane Douglas, Brazil.
Services will be at French Funeral Home, Thursday, July 8, 2010, at 2 p.m., with Pastor Dick McShanog officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon until time of services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Activities Fund at Cloverleaf Health Care.
