Moore Funeral Home of Brazil recently received the Award of Excellence from the Indiana Funeral Director's Association at its 130th annual convention.

The award recognizes those funeral homes that have adopted, maintained and documented the highest professional standards in the areas of legal compliance, community involvement, professional development and family service.

"This award is not a competition. It's not given by vote based on popularity. It is a real achievement for a funeral home staff to meet the high standards of the program and be given this award," IFDA Executive Director Curstis Rostad, CAE, Indianapolis, said. "Each year, they must continue to meet the standards and re-qualify to maintain this designation."

Moore Funeral Home has received this award in both of the two years that the IFDA has awarded the Award of Excellence. Moore Funeral Home has also received the National Funeral Director's Association Pursuit of Excellence award for the past 10 years and in 2009, they were one of only 10 funeral homes to be inducted into the NFDA's Hall of Excellence.

"For 125 years, our family has dedicated ourselves to the highest standards of professional excellence," Moore Funeral Home owner and director Rob Moore, CFSP, said. "And, as we celebrate our 125th anniversary, we are proud to continue that tradition and to be the Wabash Valley's most honored funeral home for service excellence."
