Board members to take office

The Clay Community School Corporation School Board of Trustees will meet in regular session Thursday, at North Clay Middle School, 3 W. Knight Dr., Brazil, in the media center. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.

The meeting will be the first for incoming board members Ron Scherb, Rob Miller and Amy Adams.

Upon completion of the oath of office for the new members, nominations and elections will be completed for officers.

Also on the agenda include the appointment of the treasurer and deputy treasurer, as well as the appointment of members to the bid opening committee and the appointment of the corporation attorney will take place.

In new business, the board will be voting on the textbook rental and fees as well as school lunch and breakfast costs.

The first reading of the Northview High School and Clay City Jr./Sr. High School Athletic Handbook and Coaches Handbook changes and revisions is also on the agenda. The board will also decide on hiring a health service career program position and receive an update on the INSafe report and Bus Garage situation.

Those in attendance will be given an opportunity to speak and board members will also provide comments.

In addition, CCSC Supt. Dan Schroeder will provide a report.
