TERRE HAUTE -- The Villages of Indiana, a statewide agency for foster care and adoption, is recruiting therapeutic foster families in the area.

Therapeutic foster families are needed in particular for large sibling groups, school age children and medical needs babies.

Families would be required to work with the children on educational, mental health, developmental and behavioral challenges, as well as assure visitations with the children's biological families occur as required.

A valid driver's license, transportation, stable income besides foster care subsidy and the ability to pass a criminal history check are also required.

The Villages provides training opportunities, 24/7 supportive services and case management, respite care and a per diem for the children's care.

Those interested should contact the Villages at 812-238-8700 or 1-800-874-6880.
