Frances C. Neese, 83, Brazil, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2010, at St. Vincent Clay Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born in Knightsville, Jan. 13, 1927, the daughter of Joseph Daniel and Zella Ruth (Schorer) Neese.

She graduated from Reelsville High School with the class of 1945.

Ms. Neese worked at Block Department Store, in Indianapolis, as a clerk for many years. She also worked as a machine operator at Diamond Chain, also in Indianapolis, for several years before retiring in 1990.

In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, bowling, reading and watching television.

She was a member of Croys Creek Church in Reelsville and Faith Baptist Church in Avon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Clyde Neese and sister Mary Belle Spelbring.

She is survived by her siblings Marilyn Jane Carter, Indianapolis, Betty Konrad, Portland, Ore., Roy Neese, Brazil, Geneva Eggers, Indianapolis, Ron Neese, Brazil, Marlene Rodgers and husband Ron, Knightsville, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Services will be at French Funeral Home, Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at 11 a.m., with pastors Rick Henry and Scott Aselage officiating. Burial will follow at Croys Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home, Tuesday, from 5-8 p.m.
