G. Steven Bell

G. Steven Bell, of the Vigo County Adult Probation Department, was honored for 30 years of service as a probation officer in a ceremony at the Indiana Convention Center, Indianapolis, on May 6, 2010. The Probation Officers Advisory Board of the Judicial Conference of Indiana presented service awards to 30 probation officers who have served Indiana courts for twenty-five years or more.

Steve received his certificate and pin from Randall T. Shepard, Chief Justice of Indiana. The awards were presented in front of 800 probation officers at the opening session of the 2010 Annual Meeting of Indiana Probation Officers. Prior to being employed in Vigo Co., Steve was Chief Probation Officer with Clay County for 26 years.
