Ivy Tech to offer classes at LEAAP Center

Ivy Tech Community College -- Wabash Valley, will be offering classes in Clay County again this year, beginning Aug. 23.

The fall 2010 schedule has been expanded to include a variety of classes that will be offered at the LEAAP Center or North Clay Middle School.

The admission assessment (E-COMPASS) may be taken at the LEAAP Center by calling Mary Yelton at 446-2536 for an appointment.

The fall schedule of classes offered at the LEAAP Center or North Clay includes the following:

* Communications 101 (Tuesdays, 6-8:45 p.m.),

* English 112 (Tuesdays, 6-8:45 p.m.),

* Mathematics (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-8:45 p.m.),

* Mathematics 118 (Thursdays, 6-8:45 p.m.),

* Psychology 101 (Mondays, 6-8:45 p.m.),

* History 102 (Thursdays, 6-8:45 p.m.), and

* Sociology 111 (Wednesdays, 6-8:45 p.m.).

Senior scholars more than 60 will receive free tuition, but will be responsible for the cost of books, supplies, technology fees or lab fees, if applicable.
