He was born March 10, 1938, in Russellville, Ind., to Virgil Cline Trump Sr., and Dorothy Francis (Pierce) Trump.
He graduated from Union Township High School with the class of 1956. He joined the United States Army in 1957. Pete served in Italy before being honorably discharged in 1960.
He spent a period of time in North Carolina driving heavy equipment at a gravel pit. After returning to Clay County, Pete worked for Cook and Son Lumber Company, Indiana State Highway Department and most recently, at the I-70 Chrome Shop, Brazil.
Pete enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and talking to friends, watching old movies, especially westerns. He was a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge in Brazil.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Marty Raye, brothers Jim Trump and Richard "Dick" Trump, and sister Betty Ann Martin.
He is survived by his daughters Laura Brush (boyfriend Mike Petrowski), Brazil, Linda Webb (husband Michael), Brazil, brother Dallas "Butch" Trump (Carrie "Alta"), Roachdale, sisters-in-law Martha Trump, Prattville, Ala., Mae Coleman, Webb City, Mo., grandchildren Christina Rose, Cody Rose, Nathan Rose, Joey Brush, all of Brazil, Kristen Emswiller, Indianapolis, Kayla-Ann Emswiller, Terre Haute, and Dustin Danforth, Tupelo, Miss., several nieces and nephews, and all his good friends at Cooper Towers.
Graveside services for Pete will be at Union Cemetery, in Morton, Ind., Monday, July 19, 2010, at 10 a.m., with Pastor Ernie Rush officiating. Military honors will be provided by members of the American Legion Post 2, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1127, and members of the United States Army.
