The Clay County Historical Society will meet Monday, Aug. 2, in the lower level of the museum.
The event, scheduled as the society's "picnic dinner," will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Meat will be provided. Those interested in attending should bring a covered dish.
There will be a special presentation of a DVD of Brazil in the 1930s and Ken Turner will be the guest speaker.
There will also be a board meeting at 6 p.m.
The public is invited to attend.
The Clay County Historical Society is also planning an open house for the museum Sept. 18, and other events are currently being planned.
