According to information provided by the Indiana State Police Putnamville Post, Jason A. Jordan, 27, formerly of Terre Haute, turned himself in to the Putnam County Sheriff's Department around 1 p.m., Thursday.
Currently incarcerated at the Putnam County Jail without bond, Jordan is awaiting formal arraignment on charges of two class D felonies, including sexual misconduct and theft.
Allegations of misconduct against Jordan surfaced July 12, when an unidentified 26-year-old female patient filed an official report with the Indianapolis Metro Police Department about what happened during a two-hour medical transport provided by Terre Haute-based TransCare Ambulance Service.
The victim reported that Jordan, while alone in the back of the ambulance with the patient, inappropriately touched private areas of her body and sent personal photographs stored on her cell phone to another cell phone without her permission.
Although officials released information they believed Jordan left Indiana last week, no information was released concerning his whereabouts for the past few days.
Officials confirmed the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force assisted during the investigation and no further information will be released to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation.
