ROSEDALE -- Timothy C. "Tim" Royer, 54, Rosedale, passed away at 8:35 p.m., July 31, 2010, at his residence, after a courageous four-year battle with cancer.
Tim was an independent owner-operator and worked for various trucking companies such as Triple S, McCullough, L&L, RBW and KLOSS.
A 1974 Clay City High School graduate, Tim was born in Brazil, Ind., Oct. 12, 1955, to Barbara (French) and Leroy Royer of Cory, who survive.
Time is also survived by his loving wife and caretaker Jill (Blair), Rosedale, mother- and father-in-law Ruth Ann Robert "Bob" Blair, Rosedale, son Kevin Royer, Colorado, daughters Jerri Royer and Jamie Royer, both of Ohio, step-daughters Misti (J.R.) Kent, Rosedale, and Christi (Jason) Busenbark, Rockville, grandchildren Kailynn Daniels, Hanna Livengood, Landen Livengood, Henry Busenbark and Lucas Busenbark, brother Tom Royer, Florida, sister Tammy (Jim) Pogue, Cory, nephew Brandon Pogue, several very close aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Sabrina and Harlan French, formerly of Cory, and Nell (Kitch) and Virgil "Doc" Royer, formerly of Bowling Green.
Tim was known for his fun loving personality and willingness to help others.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was a member of the Rosedale Baptist Church.
Services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 4, in Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home, 287 N. Main St., Rosedale, with Pastor Randy McPike officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, at Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home.
