According to Clay Community School Corporation Officials, the first day of school for teachers in CCSC for the 2010-11 academic school year will be Monday, Aug. 16, and for students Tuesday, Aug. 17.

Teachers will report Monday, Aug. 16, at Northview High School for a general organizational meeting.

Due to construction, principals at Staunton, Meridian, East Side, Van Buren and Forest Park Elementary schools will be housed at North Clay Middle School until Aug. 13.

Principals at other buildings are housed at their regular offices. Call the regular office telephone number for questions or additional information.

Registration for students attending Staunton, Meridian, East Side, Van Buren, and Forest Park elementary schools will be at North Clay Middle School instead of at elementary school sites.

On Monday, Aug. 9, parents and students need to enter North Clay Middle School through the front doors, and registration will take place in the Commons area.

For registration on Tuesday-Friday, parents and students need to enter North Clay Middle School through the southeast door (faces drive to Northview), and registration will be in assigned locations.

The hassle of off site registration has to be discouraging to parents and staff. However the improvements to the schools will be worth the hassle. the construction on all the schools is drawing to an end. Hang in there and be patient.
