Van Buren Homemakers

The Van Buren Homemakers met on June 15 at the Baptist Church. Leah Rae McMichael served lunch. Marcia Davis returned thanks.

Vice President Marcia opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and the Club Creed. Marcia gave devotions. Three members were present for roll call.

The song of the month was sang. Secretary report was read and approved. No treasurers report this month.

Flower fund was collected.

Leah Rae gave a Health and Safety report. No Citizenship or leader lesson was given. Members present paid for their club books.

The meeting was closed with the club prayer.

The Van Buren Homemakers also met on July 15 at the home of Myrna Schrader. Eveyln Nevins gave the blessing. Lunch was served to five members and one guest.

Marcia gave devotions. Leah Rae McMichaels, Virginia Phillips, Evelyn, Marcia, Myrna and guest Virginia Funk answered roll call. Secretary report was read and approved.

Treasurer's report was read and approved. A donation was made to our treasury. Song of the month "God Bless America," was sung. Happy Birthday to Marcia.

Leah Rae gave a health and safety report on "Heart Healthy." Virginia gave a citizenship report "Early History of Washington Township." Evelyn gave a leader lesson "Packing a fun lunch."

Myrna was to watch exhibits on July 19, and Marcia and her husband were going to work the ice cream wagon. Leah Rae was taking care of the door prize we are furnishing for Homemakers Day at the Fair.

The meeting was closed with the club prayer.

The next meeting will be Aug. 19, at the Baptist Church.
