Washington Township Circle

The Washington Township Circle met on July 14, at 1 p.m., at the home of Wilma Rich.

Linda Schiele opened the meeting. The Club Creed and the Pledge of Allegiance were repeated in unison.

Linda gave devotions, "No Poverty," from upper room and gave prayer.

Roll call was answered by four members and one guest telling their most treasured possession.

We sang "God Bless America."

Secretary report by Rosalind and treasurer report by Doris Romas were both read and approved.

Wilma read a piece, "Scratch," by Rosemary.

Linda's citizenship "Early History of Washington Township." She also gave information from the Extension office and about the Clay County Fair.

We choose our hostesses for our next year.

Becca, little Jacob and Dalton were our guests.

We closed with our the Homemakers Prayer.

Everyone enjoyed refreshments and being at Wilma's home.

Our next meeting Doris Romas will give our lesson "Rice is nice."

Rosalind will give the lesson "Vitamins."

The meeting will be today, at 1 p.m., at Linda Schiele home.

The Tri-County Community Club

The Tri-County Community Club met at the Zion Church at Poland on July 21, with Linda Rushton as hostess. A wonderful meal was enjoyed by all.

Wilma Holsapple gave the blessing.

Gerry Cundiff our president, opened the meeting with all repeating of the Pledge of Allegiance, and our Club Creed.

Our next meeting will be in September with Kay Altemiller and Mary Lyons, as hostesses.

The surprise package was won by Pat Kaster and the door prize was won by Diana Nees.

Devotions were read by Roberta Neesm, I made myself a snow ball, Dear Lord Prayer, and Life Prayer. Kay Altemiller read YaYa Sisters, Set it free, Sayings diet recipe.

Secretary's report was read by Diana Nees and approved. Treasurers report was read and approved. Kat Altemiller read the card report with 10 cards being sent for the month.

This September meeting we will have a picnic.

We all want to with Mary Rubeck a very happy birthday on Aug. 21.

She will be 90. Mary, may you have many many more. We all love you.

We had a mystery pal gift, Happy Birthday Kay Altemiller.

I must put this in, our May meeting we had a sweet and precious little girl as a visitor. Little June Grace Shrum came with her Grandma Rhonda Tincher, she was 4 months old, her great-grandmother is Evelyn Rubeck.

We closed our July meeting, all saying the Lord's Prayer.

Our social hour was spent playing bingo, with Shelly Blyth winning coverall.
