According to information provided by the Clay County Justice Center, the first accident was reported shortly after 1:30 p.m., near the intersection of County Road 200 North and State Road 59.
Members of the Clay County Sheriff's Department, Center Point Volunteer Fire Department, Clay County Search and Rescue and two units of TransCare responded to the scene of a two-vehicle collision.
While three unidentified people apparently suffered injuries during the accident, only two were reportedly transported to St. Vincent Clay Hospital.
A little more than two hours later, a second accident was reported near the exit at Pilot Travel Centers, 4376 North State Road, Brazil.
Members of CCSD, Indiana State Police, Clay County Search and Rescue, Jackson Township and Posey Township volunteer fire departments and TransCare responded to the scene of a pick-up truck partially driven under a semi-trailer.
Although apparently shaken and covered in glass, the driver of the truck was uninjured.
