Northview tennis sweeps Eagles

The Northview tennis team picked up a conference win Saturday afternoon, sweeping the varsity match with visiting Brown County, 5-0.

In singles' play, the Knights got a 6-2, 6-1 victory from Carson Kleiber at No. 1 singles and at No. 2 singles, Caleb Mershon sailed past Paul Leggins of the Eagles, 6-1, 6-0. In the final singles match, Dillon Reynolds claimed a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Colton Edens-Migner.

In the doubles matches, Northview's team of Joey Thomas and Sam Miller won a 6-3, 7-5 battle at No. 1 doubles. In the final match of the day, Cole Watts and Bryce Britton claimed a marathon victory, 7-6 (7-0), 5-7, 6-3.

The Northview JV got wins from Garrett Baysinger and Skyler Holifield in doubles as well as the team of Devin Clark and Devin Harvey. Northview's Tyler Funk and Stephen Watts also combined for a doubles victory with Alec Coughanowr winning at singles.
