She was born Nov. 5, 1948, in Clay County, the daughter of John W. Sr., and Hester M. (Lints) Fulk.
She had worked at Davis Gardens, Columbia House, and Quality Inn, in Terre Haute, and Ivy Hill, Happico and Chyoda in Greencastle. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters MaryAnn Brayden, Thelma Fulk, George Fulk, Ida May Martin and John Winston Fulk Sr.
She is survived by son Chester Ray Smith Jr., and wife Audra, daughter Jaunita Ann Dickison and husband Josh, grandchildren Derek Smith, Chelsi Renea Smith, Brooke Elmmore, Kayla Deck, and Madilynn Marie Dickison, siblings Joe Fulk, Ruth Reynolds, Ruby Barnett, Tom Fulk and wife Pam, Gladys Collins and husband Bud, and Margaret Fulk, and sister-in-law Mary Hargis and husband Tom, Kentucky.
Services will be at French Funeral Home, Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at 1 p.m., with Pheobe Kidwell officiating. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday, from 11 a.m., until time of services.
