Aikido Institute hosting seminar with renowned martial artist

The American Aikido Institute of Brazil is inviting all to a seminar with world-renowned martial artist, Haruo Matsuoka Sensei.

Matsuoka Sensei has more than 30 years of Aikido experience and for more than 20 years, was one of the highest ranking students of Steven Seagal.

From 1989-97, Matsuoka Sensei was the Chief Instructor of Tenshin Dojo in Los Angeles under the direct guidance of Seagal.

At the end of 1997, Matsuoka Sensei furthered his Aikido study by returning to Japan to teach and study directly under Seiseki Abe Sensei (10th Dan), one of the highest ranking students of O-Sensei (Founder of Aikido. Abe Sensiei promoted Matsuoka Sensei to fifth-degree black belt in 1999.

In November 1999, Matsuoka Sensei returned to Los Angeles to continue his mission of promoting Aikido, Japanese culture, and Macrobiotic.

Matuoska Sensei is currently the Chief Instructor of three Aikido schools in Southern California.

He has also served as a featured instructor of the Aiki Expo and Aikido Bridge Friendship seminars.

Matsuoka Sensei teaches annual seminars in countries worldwide, including Belgium, Brazil, France, Russia and Spain.

He began teaching seminars in Brazil, Ind., in 1991.

The seminar will take place Sept. 10-12, at the American Aikido Institute, 2 E. National Ave., Brazil.

The seminar is open to all martial artists and spectators are welcome.
