Sunday marks the final "Dinner in the Park," provided by the Popcorn Festival of Clay County.
The dinners proved to be profitable for the festival this year and its board has elected to conduct six more next year in cooperation with the Brazil Concert Band.
Sunday's dinner will take place in the Pavilion at Forest Park. Committee members, decked out in white shirts, black pants and bowties -- reminiscent to Orville Redenbacher -- wait on those attending.
In addition, this Sunday, Janelle Huber and Tammy Riker will provide flute music during the dinner.
The dinner is scheduled to run from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
This week's menu will consist of beef and noodles, mashed potatoes, vegetables, homemade yeast rolls, a choice of dessert and iced tea or lemonade.
Dinners cost $8 for adults and $4 for children 13-under, which includes desserts.
For ticket information, call Alice Wools at 448-2245 or Mary Ellen Elliott at 812-986-2766.
All proceeds from the dinners support the Popcorn Festival of Clay County and its programs, such as scholarships, park renovations and other community projects.
The 2010 Popcorn Festival will take place Oct. 1-3, at Forest Park, with the carnival beginning Sept. 30.
