Staunton Community Center

We are organizing a monthly breakfast at the Center.

The first breakfast is planned for Saturday Sept. 11, from 8:30-11:30 a.m., or until the food runs out!

You can plan a pleasant Saturday morning to meet with friends and enjoy a nice meal.

There will be no charge; donations will be accepted.

Staunton First Christian Church

Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m., with worship service following at 10:30 a.m.

Doug Parkey is the minister. If you need transportation to morning worship service, please phone the church office at 446-3211; the bus is wheel-chair equipped.

Children's Church and Wee Worship meet at 10:30 a.m. in the Educational Building.

Sunday evening service starts at 6 p.m. Wednesday evening Bible Study and Prayer Group meets at 7 p.m.

A groundbreaking ceremony will follow morning worship service this Sunday. Following the groundbreaking, a spaghetti dinner will be held in the Staunton Community Center to raise funds for the building project (donations will be taken at the door).

We will have a "Singspiration" program during evening service on Sunday, Sept. 12.

A fellowship time with homemade ice cream will follow the service that evening. Please plan to bring a dessert.

Staunton United Methodist Church

Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m., with Church Service following at 10:30 a.m. David Brown is our Pastor and his wife Elaine brings the Children's Message. Glenna Simons is the pianist.

Remember that the Community Food Pantry is open in the church's basement from 3-5 p.m., on the last Wednesday afternoon of each month.

The next Food Pantry day will be Wednesday Sept. 29. Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome. We appreciate the support of all the churches, schools, civic organizations, and individuals who help make this needed outreach a success.

Please keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families. Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals, and those who have lost loved ones.

If you have news to share, you can call me at 448-1591 or send it to 4954 W. Happy Holler Rd., Brazil. All news is greatly appreciated.
