National Able Network will host an application day Tuesday, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., in the board room at Brazil City Hall.
National Able Networks will take applications for its Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), which offers paid training and work experience opportunities for economically disadvantage individuals 55-older, while facilitating transitions of job-ready participants into unsubsidized employment in the public and private sectors.
With SCSEP, National Able Network partners with local non-profit and government agencies to promote productive and part-time employment in community service activities, while helping to increase skills for the number of persons who may benefit from the paid training experience.
National Able Network was founded in 1977 by a grant from the Chicago Community Trust. With offices in Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire, National Able Network works to serve families and communities by bringing together businesses and qualified job seekers of all ages, income and employment levels.
National Able Network provides job-ready applicants to employers as well as industry specific expertise, outplacement programs, federally subsidized employment training programs for older workers and temporary staffing.
