The North Clay sixth and eighth-grade volleyball teams split their games against Edgewood on Wednesday night.
The eighth-grade improved to 2-0 this season by downing the Colts by a 25-19, 25-11 score while the sixth-grade fell in a three-game battle, 16-25, 25-16, 12-15.
For the eighth-grade, Whitney Halfhill had a six-point game with a pair of aces and a kill with Mc-Kenzi Kumpf adding five points with a kill. Taylor Hess rang up three points with two kills and Mikayla Rowan led the team with three kills. Shea Britton also had five points from the service line, Abbey Timberman had five points with two aces, Sam-antha Smith scored two points and added a kill with Sydney Buell adding one kill.
In the sixth-grade match, Stacy Payton had six points along with Sydney Edwards and Kenzie Stearley. Kerstie Shaw had four points and Linzy Lunsford had two points.
