Humane Society grateful for help

To the Editor:

In view of the circumstances that happened at our local humane shelter recently, we are having a rough time.

However, due to the recent publicity we have gotten about this problem, this community and some surrounding communities have come out in full force to help us.

We are trying to thank them individually, but we want to make it known that we have gotten this help.

It has been amazing to see so many come to our aid with supplies and there have been a few that have adopted some animals, which is what we really want to happen.

If there is any way that you can adopt a dog or cat, please come see us, for we have a lot right now, and really cannot accept anymore until we get some adopted.

If you cannot adopt a pet, maybe you could volunteer a few hours to help out with the animals.

It is not a 9-5 job.

There is always something to do and our manager puts in many hours and could sure use some help.

If you have never been to the shelter, maybe now is a good time.
