This weekend was quite busy.
In between getting the grill out Saturday and Sunday, I was at the Rock For Brazil 2: A Benefit For Kevin Jackson festival as well as the Saline City Picnic.
I couldn't help but think how next year, jellybean will possibly join me on some of these work assignments.
While not working this weekend, I took time out to take care of a slew of projects on the home front.
While fixing the grill, among other things, I couldn't help but think sometime in the near future, jellybean will be able to help with some of these things.
While out and about at all of the local festivals, I see so many people with their children.
Someday, I think.
Jellybean will be with us at the festivals, taking in the scenes.
It's those first-time things I am looking forward too.
I'm looking forward to the first time jellybean laughs. The first smile. The first cry, etc., etc., etc.
The first time jellybean sits behind the drum kit Merry purchased. The first time jellybean takes a hold of the drum sticks.
The first time jellybean gets to do anything under the sun.
I'm looking forward to all of this. And I hope to share it with all of you.
Knowing that in only a few weeks I'll become a parent is somewhat nerve-racking.
But it's also a joyous time that I believe I'm ready for.
At least, I think I am.
