A Brazil man pleaded guilty to allegations he was involved in a recent domestic battery incident.

According to Brazil City Police Department officials, Roger Wall Jr., 25, was arrested on preliminary charges of class D felony domestic battery and class D strangulation after an investigation into an altercation with an unidentified female victim Thursday.

Information in the case file alleged Wall got into a physical altercation that involved head butting and punching.

Officials confirmed the victim, who reported previous incidents to authorities, fought back by biting Wall during the incident. However, no charges were filed against her.

Appearing before Clay Circuit Court Judge Joseph Trout to be advised of the charges Tuesday, Wall voluntarily waved his rights and entered an admission of guilt on the domestic battery charge. The Clay County Prosecutor's Office entered a motion to dismiss the second count in the matter, which was approved by the court.

Trout ordered a pre-sentencing report to be filed with the court before the sentencing hearing, scheduled for Oct. 4.

Wall was remanded into the custody of the Clay County Sheriff's Department without bond to await further court proceedings in the matter.
