The North Clay seventh-and-eighth-grade volleyball teams earned Tuesday wins on the road against North Central.
The eighth-grade won 25-6, 25-21 as Sydney Buell posted 10 points and Whitney Halfhill added eight points on three aces with one kill. Deaven McCrocklin also had eight points in the win and had two aces while Taylor Hess had four points, two aces and two assists. McKenzi Kumpf had a kill, two assists and a block in the win with Hannah Minor, Mikayla Rowan, Ramey Miller and Mannah Mace each providing a kill. Gracie Geswein had a kill and an assist and Lainey Latham had three kills to lead the team
The Knights got nine service points, including three aces from Breanna Dove and a seven-point, two aces, two assists and a block. Ashley Heck posted five points with two aces, Grace Timberman had four points and Zoe Orman had three points with two aces. Faith Wells, Kaytlin Galloway and Alex Swaim each had two points, Madison Trusty had a point with an ace and Alyssa Yocom had a point, an assist and a kill in the win.
Both teams are 4-0 overall this season and visited Honey Creek on Wednesday with a home match against West Vigo tonight.
