Brown Bag lunch set for Thursday

Thursday, September 9, 2010

TERRE HAUTE -- The Vigo County Public Library Brown Bag lunch program will continue Thursday, with a "virtual" tour of Italy and Greece.

Those attending will have the opportunity to sit back and relax as students and alumni from Indiana State University share their discoveries as participants on past ISU honors program study-abroad trips to that area of the world.

Featured presentations include Andrew Borden on the temples at Sounion, Athens, and Delphi; Cody Hedges on the volcanic Aegean island of Santorini; and Kyle Hughes on the Rome's great sewer, the Cloaca Maxima.

The Brown Bag program begins at 12:10 p.m., and concludes at 12:50, with information on the May 9-23, 2011, ISU Classical Studies trip to Italy and Sicily.

The public is invited to the event.

For more information on the tour of Italy and Sicily, contact Marilyn Bisch, ISU instructor of Classics and Honors, at 812-237-8272, or via e-mail at marilyn.bisch@indstate.edu.
