STAUNTON -- The Posey Township Volunteer Fire Department will conduct its second meeting from noon-5 p.m., Saturday, at the Staunton Community Center.
The meeting was moved to adjust to the community center's availability.
The session will be led by Architecture Plus (Project Architect/Engineer) and BSA Life Structures (Commissioning Agent).
In addition, Rose-Hulman's Civil Engineering seniors will participate and will be at the meeting Saturday.
Active involvement of all community members is needed to generate ideas regarding the project's energy/environment; building interior spaces; program activities and site and exterior.
Specifically, BSA Lifestyles will lead an eco-charrette, focusing on sustainable ideas for delivering LEED certification requirements.
Collectively, these activities will help shape the conceptual designs of the fire station.
Once the conceptual designs are created in late September into October, drawings will be presented to the public for review and comment.
