The Northview cross country teams put together perhaps their best meet of the year while hosting their invitational at Craig Park on Tuesday evening.

The Northview girls came away with the team victory paced by Alyssa Conrad's runner-up finish to edge out Cascade's second-place and the third-place South Putnam Eagles.

Nicole Nelson raced to a seventh-place finish followed by Donna Martin in 10th, Leanna Knight was 13th and Kylie McKee placed 14th.

The boys race was a tightly contested affair with the South Putnam Eagles came away with a narrow, team win over Brown County and the third-place Knights.

The Knights ran in a tight pack for much of the race and were led by a 10th-place finish by Travis Beil as Northview had just 45 seconds between its first and fifth runners in the meet.

Patrick Durcholz took 11th overall followed by Ryan South in 12th overall, Tanner Brown in 16th and Ian Heffner in 17th.
