JTCB to perform Saturday at museum

The Jackson Township Community Band, under the direction of Matthew S. Huber, will perform Saturday, at the Clay County Historical Museum in Brazil.

The concert is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.

The band performance is in conjunction with the World War II photography display at the museum.

The band specializes in music of the late 19th century and early 20th century.

A patriotic and military style concert will be presented, including "National Emblem," "Black Horse Troop," "American Patrol," "Tenth Regiment," "Armed Forces Salute," "Sons of the Brave," and "E Pluribus Unum."

Also, "Sabre and Spurs," "America," "Officer of the Day," "Emblem of Unity," "Hosts of Freedom," "God Bless America," "JTCB on Parade," and "The Star Spangled Banner," will be performed.

Founded in 1915, the band performs throughout the area each year and will participate in the Popcorn Festival of Clay County Oct 2, and perform at the Indiana State House in Indianapolis for the Retired Teachers Association Day Oct. 6.
