Mary (Mitchell) Cramer, Fortville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, at the Indiana Masonic Home Medical Center, Franklin.
She was born July 4, 1927, in Senate, Mo., to the late William W. and Lucille (McMaster) Mitchell, Clay City.
She graduated from Indiana University School of Nursing in 1948.
She retired from Hancock Regional Hospital in 1992 where she served for 29 years as a supervisor of the critical care unit, which she also helped found in 1969.
Mary was a member of both the State V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and No. 6904. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fortville American Legion Post 391; the Fortville Order of the Eastern Star No. 149; and Fortville Christian Church.
She was active in the Red Cross and 40&8.
Mrs. Cramer is survived by son Nichael L. (Crystal Washburn) Cramer, Guilford, Vt., daughters Mary Jane McGuire and Elizabeth Ann Cummins, both of Franklin, sister-in-law Camilla Cramer of Wilkinson, 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard "Tink" Cramer, son Leonard Cramer Jr., and brother Robert W. Mitchell.
Friends may call on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, from 4-8 p.m., at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville.
A funeral service will take place Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010, at 11 a.m., at Fortville Christian Church, 9450 N 200 W., Fortville.
Burial will follow at the Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
