North Clay volleyball remains unbeaten

SULLIVAN -- The North Clay seventh and-eighth grade volleyball teams earned a win over Sullivan on Monday evening to remain unbeaten this season.

The eighth-grade Knights rolled to a 25-6, 26-24 victory led by Taylor Hess' seven points along with two aces, three assists and three kills.

McKenzi Kumpf added in three points, three assists and four kills for the Knights and Deaven McCrocklin posted five service points. Mikayla Rowan had two points, Gracie Geswein had an assist and a kill and Abbey Timberman added two points and three kills. Sydney Buell contributed seven service points and a kill, Whitney Halfhill had three points, an assist and a kill, Madison Nevins led the team with four assists and Lainey Latham had three points as North Clay improved to 9-0 this season.

The seventh-grade team blew past the Arrows with a 25-5, 25-12 victory paced by Zoe Orman's 16 service points with nine aces.

Madison Trusty contributed nine service points in the win and Morgan Stearley, Alyssa Yocom and Kaytlin Galloway each had three points. Breanna Dove also had three points and added a kill. Lauren Atkinson and Kaylee Cooper each had two points for the Knights.

North Clay's seventh-grade is also 9-0 this season and both squads will host Woodrow Wilson along with the sixth-grade Knights beginning at 5:30 p.m.
