Activities include the K-Day Pancake Breakfast at the Veterans Of Foreign Wars Post No. 1127, 303 South Depot Street. According to organizers, tickets for the all-you-can-eat breakfast, serving from 6 a.m.-12 p.m., are $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 3-12, while children age 2 and under eat for free.
Tickets will also be available for sale to help raise funds for Riley's Children's Hospital during the event. Organizers confirm all proceeds will be donated to the hospital.
Parade goers of all ages will be "Celebrating Youth, Celebrating Life" along National Avenue/United States 40 today during the annual K-Day Parade.
However, Brazil City Police Chief Larry Pierce wants to remind motorists to remove vehicles and to not park along the roadway after 1 p.m.
"Officers will be at intersections to assist with north and southbound traffic before the parade begins," Pierce said.
Participants will lineup at Depot Street and National Avenue at 1 p.m., with the parade officially beginning at 2 p.m.
