Virginia N. Long Myers Wallace, 92, died Sept. 21, 2010, at her home.
She was born Sept. 13, 1918, the daughter of Frank and Trixie (Jones) Long.
Virginia had several jobs in her life, most importantly being wife and hard working mother. She learned to quilt in her later years and enjoyed it very much. She had a couple of quilts in shows in Branson, Mo.
Virginia and her husband Richard moved back to Brazil to be close to family in May 2002.
She was born in Clinton, Ind., and raised in Ashboro.
Her sisters Leota Bullerdick Fitch and Gretchen Courtney both preceded her in death as did her husband Richard Wallace and stepson Jimmy Wallace.
Survivors include her daughters Julia Reed, Staunton, and JoHannah Wallace and husband Bill, Pauls Valley, Okla., sons Donald Myers and wife Peg, Houston, Steve Myers and wife Emily, Stafford, Va., and Frank Myers, Lafayette, Ind., stepdaughter Cathy Jean Stonebraker, Sheldon, Mo., 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Cremation services have been entrusted to French Funeral Home. No services are planned at this time. Her ashes along with her husband's will be buried later in Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vista Care Hospice or The Trinity Baptist Church in Brazil.
