Jessie Wayne Warner, 73, Monrovia, passed away at 4:36 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, at Kindred Hospital, Indianapolis-South, Greenwood.
Wayne was born Jan. 13, 1937, in Clay County, to John E. Warner and Artie M. (Orman) Warner.
He married Norma J. Bell June 6, 1964.
Wayne retired Jan. 14, 1998, from Lilly Industries, which is now Valspar Paint, Indianapolis.
He served in the United States Army from 1955-57.
Wayne was a member of Eastview Christian Church, Martinsville.
He enjoyed being outdoors mushroom hunting, nut hunting and working crossword puzzles.
Wayne is survived by his wife Norma J. (Bell) Warner, Monrovia, brothers Ken R. Warner and wife Carolyn, Brazil, and Wilbur Warner, Brazil, sisters Lucille Wells, Riley, Bessie P. Wells, Spencer, and Norma Garlits, Brazil, sister-in-law Betty Warner, Arizona, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father John E. Warner, his mother Artie M. (Orman) Warner, brothers John E. Warner Jr., David Warner, and Warren Warner, and sisters Crystal E. Warner and Dorothy Blanton.
Graveside services are at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, at Peavey Cemetery, Jasonville, with Rev. Rick Miller officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
